Pesticides

In response to developments in pesticide control and residue regulations along with continued consumer concern about the levels of pesticides in food, we have expanded our resources in this area with investment in new pesticide testing systems.

Major changes are imminent, due in part to the ongoing EU review of all existing pesticides and in the way in which Maximum Residues Levels (MRLs) in Crops, Food and Feeding Stuffs are set.   This will result in many new and traditionally difficult to test compounds being used and more MRLs being set at lower and lower levels.

Using cutting edge technology, the Triple Quad Mass Spectrometers (LC-MSMS & GC-MSMS) allow the analyst to identify and quantify a huge range of pesticide residues in food products at part billion levels.

Our new generic method covers a wide range of pesticide classes, including many compounds and metabolites that traditionally have had to be analysed using separate targeted techniques in order to achieve the required level of detection.  Using the new multi class method results in less cost and faster analysis time.

For further information and costs on the tests we carry out, please click on the relevant test and enter your details and we will contact you with further information:
