Exova has launched a new internet-based client portal that allows food manufacturers with multiple sites where samples are tested at a local Exova's laboratory to see results in one place, 24 hours a day.

The new portal allows assigned client company administrators to track the progress of samples, from booking in at the laboratory, through to certification and has been designed to be as user friendly as possible, with colour coded test results to help locate out of specification test results and samples. There is also an easy to download trending tool, which allows test results to be selected for a specific time frame and presented in a number of graphic formats.

Individual test results are released onto the website within minutes of approval at the laboratory and are not dependent on the test results being completed for a whole sample, so any early issues can be identified and resolved. This means that issues facing a manufacturing site at one end of the country that may have an impact elsewhere in the business can be communicated to a central technical function. Allocated access rights at different levels or limiting access can be tailored according to requirements.

“With five laboratories throughout the UK, Exova is usually able to offer food manufacturers a laboratory local to them and this is an increasingly attractive option as it allows easy management and swift turnaround. However, until now the results for each site have had to be handled separately, which can be time consuming.
