Exova enhances advisory team with food law expert
03 November 2009

Exova Food & Consumer Products Divison has expanded its Advisory team with the appointment of Claire Wilson, a former Trading Standards and Compliance Manager with Wm Morrison Supermarkets plc as a Food Law Advisor.

In her new role, Claire will be working with membership customers on matters such as food labelling, nutrition and health claims, compositional standards, allergen labelling. She will also be training suppliers to the major retailers on Retailer Specification systems and advising on any legal issues relating to them

A Law with French graduate, Claire has many years experience in food law. She began her career with Nottinghamshire Trading Standards as an Enforcement Officer in the Food & Agriculture Department, providing legal advice to both businesses and consumers in relation to food labelling and composition.

After a year working as a Food Labelling Advisor with Bodycote Food & Consumer Goods, providing food labelling consultation to a leading UK retailer, Claire joined Wm Morrisons where she was responsible for a range of verification and approval processes relating to pack labelling and regulations, before re-joining Bodycote, now known as Exova, earlier this year.
